Teflon EcoElite™
Teflon EcoElite™ finish is the first renewably sourced, plant-based, non-fluorinated fabric treatment for durable water repellency and is manufactured with 60 percent renewably sourced raw materials. It allows you to stay dry while out in the elements and repels water-based stains to help keep garments looking newer for longer.
This finish also provides some clear performance advantages: it helps reduce the need for repeated washing, detergent use and spot cleaning because liquids bead up and roll off the fabric; stains can be removed at lower wash temperatures versus untreated fabrics; and fabrics dry 25 percent faster than untreated fabrics, whether being tumble dried or air dried.
Re:Down® Recycled Down Insulation
The recycled down insulation from Re:Down® is a mix of 650-fill-power goose and duck down reclaimed from cushions, bedding and other used items that can’t be resold. It is hypoallergenic, eco-friendly and offers identical performance benefits to virgin down.
For Re:Down®, it was important to not only use recycled materials, but to process the materials sustainably. Washing the down requires a lot of water and energy. For this reason, the factory in Hungary was built in a location where water springs up from the ground at a temperature of 38 degrees. The thermal water used in the down treatment process is also recycled and sent back to the earth as clean as drinking water. Altogether, this results in less energy usage and spares additional costs.
Not only will you have a garment that uses eco down insulation, but you can be assured that this down was processed using renewable energy, recycled water, following fair trade standards, and that it causes no harm to animals.
